President of Iranian National Tax Administration on the occasion of Tax Culture Week

A report by the Iran Tax Media quoted a part of Seyed Kamel Taghavi Nejads message in which he said: “today, the Irans tax regime is at a historical turning point. In a year in which the resistance economy is rolling on the pathway of action and the various agencies of the regime have been collaborating in consensus to implement this policy, the collective coherence and national participation for promotion of the countrys tax regime and flourishing Irans economy has manifested in an unprecedented way. In the months of June and July of this year we witnessed the significant participation of citizens in submitting their tax returns. An unprecedented participation along with a unique camaraderie and interaction. Besides this national saga, the determination and efforts of the Iranian National Tax Administration has doubled as much and the organizational harmony and synergy in the field of tax system played a decisive role in achieving this everlasting epic.”

The Vice Minister of Economic Affairs & Finance  pointed out in the context of this message that: “self-proclamation in a calm environment with the highest level of citizens’ camaraderie and participation was one of the results of this year’ valued tax agreement with the country’s guilds and the tax regime thanks to its new approach, has included the strategic policy of trust in the people and providing more effective services to the citizens and proudly and successfully passed the test of interaction and communication with the people and to give the credit when it is due, hereby we should appreciate the people’s camaraderie and synergy in creating this economic saga.”

The general director of the Iranian National Tax Administration stated that: “the today’s Iranian citizenry is more than ever aware of the numerous outcomes and abundant benefits of paying taxes in prosperity and construction of towns and villages and the development of urban infrastructure and also promoting the government goals in the fields of security, health, education, and financing the countrys current financial affairs. Of course, this relative familiarity with the tax topic and its implications is a result of transforming tax culture-fabrication programs and also effective and timely communication of information in various intervals. Today, aside from a small number of the people, everyone is aware of the importance of severing the economy dependence on oil income and effective use of this multi-generational capital for the development of the country’s infrastructure and advancement of civil projects. This public awareness about the critical position of the tax regime with various implications ranging from supplying the country’s public incomes, distribution of wealth in society and spreading social justice, besides economic stability and backing the countrys economy with healthy and sustainable resources is undoubtedly of great importance. The most important current requirement of the country is increasing the efficiency and ability of the tax regime as the most favorable type of funding the country’s financial costs and the various components of the system have collaborated to attract the civil participation, extend and expand social justice, effective exploitation of the unused economic capacities and maximum financing of the countrys current costs on account of the inbred economic revenues. Especially in the current year in which the comprehensive tax plan has been included in the organization’s agenda as Action 95 and the new direct tax law amendment is also approaching the enforcement phase, camaraderie and harmony between the government and the nation is doubly important. This is while the full reformation and implementation of the VAT law is one of the main projects of the Iranian National Tax Administration.

At the end of his message on the occasion of Tax Culture Week, Taghavi Nejad stated that: “now that we are in the Tax Culture Week, I appreciate the camaraderie and synergy of the esteemed taxpayers in submitting their tax returns, and also thank my serving colleagues and their victorious deeds and I ask for the blessings of the Almighty God for each and every one of them in line with the practice of their sacred and important task.
